Cookies Policy

We are aware of our responsibility to protect your privacy. As part of this responsibility, we let you know what information we collect using cookies when you use our websites, why we collect it and how we use it to improve your experience.

What is a Cookie?

  • A cookie is a simple text file of letters and numbers which gets downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit our website.
  • We use cookies to distinguish you from other users from our website. This helps us to provide you with a positive experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve the site.
  • They also recognise when you have given your username and password so that you don’t need to do it for every web page that you visit. They also measure how many people use our websites so that we can make it easier to use and ensure there’s enough capacity to make the site fast.
  • Most cookies will not collect information that personally identifies you. They will collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our website, or a user’s general location.

How we use Cookies

Our cookies generally perform up to three different functions:

Strictly Essential Cookies – To run some parts of our site we set a session cookie. This cookie is used to identify user sessions between page visits. Our site will not work correctly if the cookie cannot be set (for example, if you set your internet browser to reject all cookies).

Third Party Cookies – These are cookies found in other companies’ internet tools which we are using to enhance our site. These are from Facebook, Twitter, Google Maps which have their own cookies and are controlled by them.

Analytical/Performance Cookies – These are cookies that allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors to the website and see how visitors move around the website when they are using it. We use Google Analytics cookies to track anonymous usage statistics and do not collect any personal information that can be used to identify you. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.

Concerns with cookies

While there are many legitimate uses for cookies to improve convenience and efficiency, some uses of cookies can lead to privacy concerns. These concerns typically emerge when a cookie holding personal information identifying you (e.g. name, email address, billing information etc) is used across multiple sites to track users and internet usage. Simon Huntington Ltd does not use any of its first-party cookies to hold any personal information or track users across multiple sites.

Corona Virus Announcement

COVID-19

Important Announcement

Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, we have taken the decision to temporarily scale down the business to protect workers and the public and to hopefully return the company to full operation when the crisis is over.

For the next few weeks, we will be operating with a reduced workforce. Our Company is a member of the AEMT (The Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades). We are one of their members who provide breakdown repairs and the supply of replacement equipment to hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturers, food manufacturers, agriculture, papermaking, gas, oil and nuclear and other essential businesses.

We work around the clock playing a crucial part in ensuring that power is generated, water is provided, oil is pumped and refined, factories are productive, and nuclear waste is processed.

Any critical failure of a motor, generator, pump, etc. can bring any of these processes to a standstill, AEMT members including Park Gate ensure that all plants run smoothly and that any breakdown does not become a crisis.

Most of our usual phone numbers and email addresses will be operating, though there may be some disruption to our services, and you may have to check at the office before waiting for replies and responses.

Please be assured that whilst attempting to provide these services we are doing all that we can to ensure that our staff stay safe by employing strict hygiene and social separation methods. This involves a number of staff working from home where they can.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but at this time the safety of our staff, customers & suppliers is our biggest concern.

We ask all of our customers to take care and we hope to be back to normal as soon as possible.
